2003 Cadillac STS/SLS in Sunburst Orange?

So I was doing my usual eBay browsing and came across something kind of peculiar, an orange SLS, close resemblance to the orange CTS found only in 2003, and 2008. Now, it's not in the best shape & doesn't look like it's had the best life, but still... http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNj...Tarz0/$_57.JPG http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNj...TarzU/$_57.JPG

real or no??

I would say it is real, or it could be a repainted one. It's also a gamble. REAL Cadillac owners would buy and restore it, not run it into the ground. Would you be willing to take on the expense of restoring it? If it was repainted, would you be willing to take on the expense of "repairing" the paint if/when it goes bad. So many questions...

Orange was not a RPO color however if car was a special build - factory or celebrity it could be. The SPID label should answer that. If a buyer has the money and desire a "new" car can be stripped down and color changed. It doesn't happen often however. Most I have seen were for funeral homes - fleet colors, and one SAAB 900 painted bright pink. Allante' Mary Kay pink. All were painted as new cars prior to delivery.
