transmission shudder

I have a 2004 AWD V8 srx with 26K miles. Seems like a shift shudder around 35mph to 45mph. Seems like it's searching between twogears. Only happens under light foot, no problems under harder acceleration. Anyone had this problem or fix before I call dealer? First time using forum. Looks Good, just like our SRX's!

RE: transmission shudder

I had the same problem. After three trips to the dealerI got them to change the torque converter. It's been over 6,000 miles and so far haven't had a problem. It was changed under warranty. Also had a problem with the passenger side turn signal bulb not working. They replaced the whole housing, seems to be a problem that can also be covered under warranty. Good Luck!

RE: transmission shudder

I just bought an 05 SRX Certified used. I have had a few issues which have been taken care of, but I too feel a shudder around 35-40 when it goes into overdrive while I am light (feathering) the pedal. it is more pronounced when the car is just reaching operating Temp. The dealer tried to reprogram the tranny. It still does it, and they are going to replace the tourque converter next week.

I hope the problem goes away!!!
