I've got a 2004 SRX V6 AWD and added the towing kit when the car was new. The kit adds a hitch, removable draw bar and wiring harness for Class I towing (under 3,000 pounds).

A couple years back I towed our 2,400 lb. 20' boat with the SRX and it really surprised me - it did just fine. Plenty of braking power and no signs of overheating.

Only shock was back when the towing package was purchased - as with all Cadillac part, it was expensive.
