thinking of getting a 2004-2007 srx..need info pls

Hi everyone, this is my first time in this section. I'm in the midst of looking for another car. Thought of volvo, but also cadillac. Looking for something, preferably with AWD system (as we get lots of snow in winter).
Saw the srx, but don't know much about them. I came across a 2004 model with V8 (engine of choice).
1. So how reliable are these suv's (engine/tranny wise)?
2. Do they drive more like an suv(boaty feeling) or more like a car?
3. what are common issues with them? ( i know they are a bit expensive to repair..but so are volvo's!)
4. is the awd system good?
any other info would be great. thanks

I think my last SRX may have been an '04. It was a low millage good car and still had a great suspension but there are a lot of electrical components in a luxury vehicle that go wrong. And even though I have a newer SRX now, I would have to believe that I would prefer an older Grand Cherokee over an '04 Cad, they just seem more durable? Any 04 is an older car and it would totally depend on the condition of the specific vehicle and previous owner.
