Rough ride

I just purchased a 2014 SRX and I'm disappointed by how rough it rides. I have owed Cadillac sedans that were much smoother rides so this is surprise too me. Is there a suspension or tire change that can improve the ride? We had a 2005 Chrysler T & C Mini Van Limited and it was so smooth.

You could check and make sure air pressure is set correctly. The other would be to compare ride to another 2014 SRX with similar equipment. It maybe the way it's going to be, it is a crossover or part car part truck.

Slow roll,
Thanks for your response. Tire pressure is within a pound or two of the recommended setting. I though lowering the pressure might help, but the manual is quite insistent about maintaining the correct (36 psi cold) pressure. I think you may be right, I'm going to have to get used to it.

I'll check with the dealer about driving another 2014 SRX.

Slowroll is right; it's the nature of the beast. It is a short wheelbase crossover which does not help. IMO the seats are a bit firm as well which amplifies an already "sporty" suspension. I would still try to comparison drive another similarly equipped model just to rule anything else out.

Thanks, it is sporty.
