Burning Plastic Smell
 

I have a 04 Cadillac SRX V8 N*, Upon pulling off from stoplight car started making a loud, high pitch screeching noise, I immediately pulled over and smoke was coming from hood and car had hit a little past the halfway mark on the temperature gauge. When I got out the car a strong plastic burning smell was coming from up by the driver side of the radiator. Let car cool down and restarted it to pull it into driveway out of parking lot when doing this temperature gauge didn't move past halfway but car started smoking again and rattling from the front like a rock in a can. I parked the car and a rusty colored liquid started pouring out down the driver side of the vehicle. Someone please help me narrow this problem down.

Please open your hood, start the engine, peer in there and look for irregularities that you can feed back to us.
