3.6 Engine swap
 

ok I have a 2007 srx all wheel drive that the motor just blew up in it and I want to put a new motor in it. My 8th digit in my vin is 7 so can I use a motor from a cts with the same 8th digit from another year in my 07?

yes if they are the same (VIN ID) 3.6 it should be a straight swap. The long blocks should be the same. Accessories, manifolds, and brackets can be different because they are not in the same body. You would need to transfer them.
