2014 SRX accel/decel noise
 

I'm getting a clunking noise from the engine or transmission when I accelerate or decelerate at low speeds. It sounds like a universal joint but I'm not sure front wheel drive vehicles have one. This is not an AWD model. Any suggestions?

I was looking for the XT5 model information, but can't seem to find it anywhere in the forum. Maybe the XT5 I have isn't really a Cadillac.

Since I have had a 2012 SRX, I looked at this section and saw your entry. As a matter of fact I traded in my 2012 on a 2017 XT5. The XT5 appears to be the followon for the SRX. About the same size as the SRX.

Ironically, the problem you listed for the SRX is the same one I am having with the XT5. It's a bit hard to describe, not quite a clunk, sort of toward a click which will occur when it shifts from the lower gears. At times, you will hear it when downshifting in the lower 3 gears (coasting without use of the gas pedal). At other times when you are in the 20=30 mph range and let up off the accelerator, it will again make the noise. Does that ring a bell similiar to your issue.

Anyone know where the XT5 info is located or maybe they are having so many issues,,they don't want to list that model here. Don't know, just guessing, but found it strange it is not found on the forum. Thanks.

I am having the same issue on my 2017 XT5. Any ideas?
