2010 SRX Rear Seat stuck in flat position
 

65k miles with no real issues till now. Have folded down the large section of rear seat 100 times, but this time it will NOT go back up. Tried everything. :confused: Is this a common occurrence? Does anyone know of a fix? Thanks

Does handle feel like it its pulling release cable? there are 2 screws under little cover on handle base. If it feels like nothing is there I would take handle loose and see if cable is still attached. Beyond that seat back cover will need to be removed. IMO not a DIY because seat covers are expensive to replace and easy to damage. I hope its just the handle

The handle is stuck open at about 45* from closed, it will not return to the closed position at all. I can see the cable and the end ball of lead/steel. Its still connected to a release mechanism apparently. From this position, it pulls on the mechanism when I open it further toward the front seat. I hate to put more than 500 lbs of pressure while pulling up on the seat, for fear of breaking it even more.!! lol

I still have a month of warranty left on my 6 year plan. I'll prob just take it in next week.

Hopefully it's covered. It's probably something with recliner I would try make sure something isn't caught in seat.
