2005 SRX Factory NAV - upgrade options?
 

Hello,
Quick question for all of you folks that may have upgraded or swapped out the factory NAV unit in a 2005 SRX.
I am looking at purchasing a used 2005 SRX with factory Navigation but I fear I will really miss some of the conveniences I currently have in my aftermarket Apline unit - specifically the Bluetooth and the USB port for MP3 (not to mention the backup camera and the up to date maps).

So - do I have any options other than standalone bluetooth?

Ideally - I'd like to remove the factory unit and go aftermarket but I can't find anything compatible (using Crutchfields search tool). I am fairly certain that the compatibility is due to the fact that the drivers information center (DIC) is built iin to the factory head unit?

I really don't want to give up the DIC functionality either so I'm out of luck?

Any options for a standalone DIC display (I assume this uses the GM databus or possibly something in the OBD stream)?

Appreciate any insights on what my options may be as I'd really like to buy the car but fear I'll be forever disappointed in the factory head unit.
