Default Reliability of 2000+ SLS/STS?

As some of you may have noticed my posts on the DeVille thread, I'm looking at buying a 2000+ DHS. Well, I've also been looking at the 2000+ STSs and the more I think about it, the more I might want to get one of those instead. So, my question is, on the 2000+ SLS/STS cars, what are the sort of reliability issues I might see? How do they compare to the DeVille/DHS/DTS? What're the expensive repairs? In addition, what's the highway mpg generally like?

Thanks for the input! Maybe eventually I can make a decision and follow through, but I'm just trying to get as much info as possible first.

The Sts is a sweet ride. I have a 2000 STS and love it. No real problems just the sensors on the car are very sensitive. Other than that the car is very reliable, smooth, fast, comfortable and headturning

Keep in mind ,maintenance is rule of thumb for Northstar engine .Make sure coolant should be changed regularly .
I have 2000 Seville STS ,very nice car indeed .
If you happen to buy one of these cars with poor maintenance you would feel like kicking yourself . If you find a car with service records ,go for it .I think you will like Northstar engine despite some bugs aforementioned above
