quick question

As far as coolant getting into your oil, is there a definate sign that it happens or is it hard to tell just by looking at your dipstick?

Thanks

unlike what you have heard, depending on your location, weather, and driving habits, your crankcase may hold moisture of significant amounts .. one quart or more is not uncommon in the N.E. in winter.

your best sign of coolant getting into the crankcase (it should not) is when the engine is losing coolant and its nowhere to be seen.

i guess you could taste the oil and see if it tastes like Prestone ?
OK .. OK .. i'm kidding.
