cooling fans problem 1988 seville

My 1988 Seville has recently had a lot of work done to the A/C system. After having a new compressor and new radiator installed my fans now forget to turn on and it shuts off my compressor and starts to overheat the radiator.
B441 h (cooling fans problem) is the code. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get those fans to operate properly? Is there a sensor or fuse somewhere I should check? At first they would come on intermittently but now they don't come on at all. When it works the A/C works really well even here in the desert. The car has 66k miles.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

start with simple.

unplug the connectors, inspect, clean and lub contacts with di-electric grease.
check the wiring from fans to harness.
report back.
