Cold Air Intake for 98 Seville?
 

Is there any cold air intakes for seville's? I have been looking for a good kit like AEM orK&N but have not found one. If so, are they worth the money in performace and gas mileage?

These are all over e-bay. If you don't like what you see make your own. My experience with these systems is that they are car specific, I mean on some of my cars they helped out a lot on others they screwed it up. I know K&N advertises on this site but I will say that on a 92 Bonneville I had I made my own air intake and used a 5.7 Vortec K&N filter on it and man that really picked up that car, very noticeable, a kick in your pants. It went from chirpping tires to burning rubber through intersections. The reason I had the Vortec filter was because it completely screwed up my GMC and I paid something like $80 for it so I gave it a try on the car. On my 1973 LeMans GT with an L48 350 (Canadian Car with Chevy factory engine) the original Corvette paper AC Delco makes it run better than the K&N.

When I look under the hood of the Cadillac I really can't see that there is much cold air flow or even increased airflow by switching. If you can route something down to the valance or behind the grille you might get some gain. In theory more air makes more HP but I don't know how much improvement you would get. You will get more noise that's for sure. The only way to find out about HP is to try it.
