Blown head gasket, HELP!

HI everyone, this is my first post so I would also like to intoduce myself. Well, I think I blewthe head gasket in my 96 Seville STS. I have been adding coolant regulary for about 2 - 3months, about a gallon every two weeks, some was also leaking out but I new that itwas burning coolant from the puffy white smoke and the a funny sweet smell. Oh, and I did find coolant in the oil. A couple days ago I had it on the highway and I guess the gasket ruptured all the way, the car has no power whatsever. I'm going to do this myself, I always fix my own cars after I gather some info. online. So my question, does someone have a breakdown or a rough general guideline on how to to this. I would also need the torque specs and bolt tightening pattern. And lastly if anyone has any hints or suggestions I would really appreciate it. I did search on the internet but only gathered limited info. this is my last shot here before I get to work. Thanks a million for any help. Chris

Man, if you searched the net you should know that the problem is the block and the bolts not being able to withstand the compression ratio in this motor. You have to get the proper kits from GM, with new bolts and you have to tap the aluminum block. This is a $4000 plus job at the dealer. Go look for another slavage yard engine. That will be cheaper.
