1999 SLS Climate Control System

Ok, I know this is my first post and I have read all I can, but can't find the answers. The search button is no help, but you got to start somewhere. I have a 1999 SLS that the air on the pass side is cold , but the air on the driver is not. I've by passed the heater core by looping the hoses in the engine bay so there is no water going to the heater core and it still blows warm. Whenat a stop it will start to blow cold and will continue blowing cold until yougo tomove. At30-70 mph it starts blowing warm again. The recycle button does not seem to work, with the car idling andtherecycle buttonactive cold air will blow from both sides. I had a friend take a lit cigeratte and placed at the air intake under the cowl and could smell the smoke inside the car, so I don't think the recycle is working. I think my problem stems from the car not recycling air at speed and picking up 95 degree plus air and cooling it, but what do I do about this?

Either low on refrigerant or drivers side air temp door. Check a/c pressures first.

Ok I ‘ve taken the glove box door off and gotten a good look behind the passenger side of the dash and all I can find is a big dome that covers, and un covers the blower when you push the recycle button .nothing that will split it. Just where in relation to the big dome over the blower is the driver’s side air temp door? Could some thing be wrong in the climate control computer? And can I read codes out of it though the OBDII with a scan tool?
