1997 seville sts struts

my Seville feels like the struts are worn out. 117k so what are the in's and out's of changing the front struts to either the oem type or the conversion to regular struts? any links to good deals on conversion struts? ebay does have some will I get error messages if I disconnect the original system? but worried about how to jump the connector,

rear air shocks

I recently repaired my rear air shocks for under $20 .I bought and air valve kit from Advance Auto Parts. has new airlines and t valve . just remove old airlines put new lines on. drill small hole in trunk for the t valve .hook lines to T valve. Fill to 20 pounds .it rides fine. I also put a front strut kit from strutmasters with resistors to stop suspension lights code .the only difference I feel is it handles better in the corners the rear leveling doesn't work I guess but I don't feel any difference and no codes are sent out
