1997 Seville STS with few problems.
 

Hello from Finland.
I just bought a 1997 Seville STS. It has only 30000miles on clock. It is very nice car, but it has some annoying problems
First problem is steering. At every start car says service steering. Car gives fault code wich means that solenoid on steering rack.
I was reading somewhere on internet that it should have 1.6 - 3.2 ohms resistance on that solenoid on the steering rack.
We did some measurements and we got 6.1 ohms resistance reading at that solenoid.
First i was thinking i found the problem and i put 2.7ohms resistor to car wiring harness. Sadly fault code still stay on.
Can some one help me about this. Is there any "pinpoint" manual test what i can do about it
