93 Allante E041 Code

I'm having a tuff time figuring this one out. I have a E041 code current. But I don't see codes with an E prefix in the Shop Manuel. I,ve assumed this is like a P code. I've so far replaced the Cam Sensor. Is an E code the same as a P code. PCM = ECM being my logic. Or maybe looking at the wrong place completely. Thanks for any a help.

Maybe this can help from Dick at Allante Source in West Palm Beach, FL. He's always been willing to talk about solving an issue so give him a call.

There is some kind of a problem with the cam sensor, the signal from it, or the distributor wiring. Another possibility is the ECM not seeing or processing the signal, or the wiring between the distributor and the ECM not passing the signal. What was the source of the distributor? The original distributor wiring harnesses seem to disintegrate with age. New ones are available, but are pretty expensive.

Thanks, I'll give him a call. Still no luck here.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

If you use Facebook contact Ross Longo as he may be able to help too.

Good luck
