Any bright soul out there capable of decoding the following cases?
https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8357/...60c1fb0a_z.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8098/...06412894_z.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8093/...77738258_z.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8087/...789e219b_z.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8466/...6c76101a_z.jpg All the pictures have been taken by me All the editing done by myself as well. Intention is to fully identify the vehicle (year of the vehicle, engine cc, etc etc) https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8485/...ee43a731_z.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8209/...f0b8d582_z.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8338/...0511895b_z.jpg As the engine has been dropped it will be fully rebuilt, so crucial information is needed before anything gets done. Id be much appreciated if anyone could look at these pictures and leave comments either here or send me a message... Cheers everyone! |

I looked into swapping a 5.7L for the 5.0L, but it got sold first. |
43bike,
Many thanks for your help and clarification on this matter greatly appreciated. Below more pictures regarding this engine block. IF anyone can add even more info that would be great! https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8392/...be5961ca_z.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8229/...1a4dee6e_z.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8111/...69e5863e_z.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8249/...99b9c995_z.jpg https://farm9.staticflickr.com/8090/...579136b6_z.jpg And bike43 regarding the poor power perfomance of this engine I can tell you my idea will be to master rebuild this engine with performance parts, and Im not talking about "stickers" or wings at the back of the car or "performance" exhausts or anything external...lol no not that. I talking about new performance pistons, tuned and rebalanced crankshaft, new performance camshaft and others...all done within responsible numbers and changes that the engine can take. Many thanks |
