Ultimate towing vehicle???
I have had a avalanche since 2002. Love the truck, but have always been given a lot of crap about using it for serious towing. I towed my 67 gto on an open trailer across the Rockies without a prob. To San Fran. While out there, I traded for a 2002 escalade ext.
Reading limited info, it appears that the ext might be a great towing vehicle. As far as I can tell it has: 6.0 Auto leveling (does that replace the need for bags?) Tranny cooler Towing package But is that enough? What other mods would you make to be able to comfortably pull a 26' enclosed 3800 lb. with my gto 3200 lbs. I will use load level let's, butam interested in any other advice given. |
Just check the weight rating for the towing equipment. The EXT has everything you need to tow (transmission cooler, ride leveling suspension, towing package), just make sure the tongue weight isn't too high.
