Cleartastic or equivalent?

In the Corvette circles, there is a product called Cleartastic which is a plastic (8 mil thick I think) film that lays over the paint of your car to protect the paint from rocks, causing paint chips. Now, I've done a search online for this stuff as applied to my EXT, and I can't find anything. Anyone know of an equivalent product?

I am not sure if they make one for the Cadillac. Another solution and probably better is the 3M prtective film. Almost invisible and will not come off when washing like the clearlastic.

I'm interested in the same/similar product. I've had the bug shields on 2 Avalanches and don't like the look or the hassle of cleaning behind it.

I found some Lamin-X product that I've ordered. I'll try it out and let you guys know how it works.

Check out www.xpel.com
The headlamp protection is fairly easy to apply yourself. But if you want the front end protection, go to one of their installers. The hood and front end install is not as easy as it looks!
I have the whole front end of my '05 Duramax protected and it works great! Well worth the investment.
As soon as I take delivery of our SRX, it's going straight to the installer.
