'11 ESV Hood Molding Bubble

1 Attachment(s)
Has anybody replaced their hood molding? Just bought a 2011 ESV and the molding has a bubble. Seems pretty straightforward. Anything to be aware of before tackling this project? Part no. is 15907251 ($186.23 at my local dealership).

Just don't force anything, it will ok.

OK, so I ordered the part online for about $50 and installed tonight in literally 60 seconds. All you need is some pliers (or an adjustable wrench) to squeeze the clamps together and they easily pop out. You then line up the new modeling and pop them into place. Can't believe the dealership was asking $190 for the part + $125 for labor for a 1-min job.

I'm glad it worked out well. The dealer has limited flexibility with parts prices. The labor does so way over the top. With exterior trim such as this a body shop could be a option generally body shop labor rates are 2/3-3/4 of service shops.
