Well I guess we are going to wait awhile to trade our 2007 Escalade and we have 45,085 miles on it now. We are in the market for a good and reasonable priced extended warranty. Of course we are getting lots of e-mails and postcards regarding this but just wondering what you guys thought??? Thanks for your input. Edi in VA

 

GMPP Major Gaurd is what I would recommend - you can go to any GM Dealer, maximum coverage with least amount of trouble. Non OEM warranties can be very good, however you need to do homework about coverage and how they will repair your car....used, OEM, or non-OEM parts....will they pay list prices for parts....do they pay labor rates for your area? You will be responsible for what they won't pay. IMO Powertrain - Internally Lubricated Parts is a waste of money.....they don't pay for leaks including headgaskets. There aren't that many internal failures opposed to leaks. Good Luck.

 

I would only get the GM warranty, have too many customers that had purchased aftermarket warranties only to see the companies go out of business and then they are worthless
