Broken Exterior Door Handles

2007 Escalade EXT: Last winter, the driver door handle broke. It just cheaply constructed, looks like plastic. Now, the other three have broken the same darn way. It's a three year old Cadillac and Cadillac is supposed to be known for quality. Lord knows you pay for it when you buy a Cadillac. This is my second new EXT and my 3rd STS.

I'm past warranty of course, paid for the first broken door handle and now looking ast having 3 more replaced. Cadillac should step up and replace these defective door handles, regardless of warranty. It's not an isolated problem.

I have an 07 Escalade and could not believe the plastic screw that holds an exterior door handle??? My waranty has run out and dealer says it is $205 to replace. As many of these things that are breaking, there needs to be a recall. How do we get a recall started on these?? I have never had this happen on any car I have ever owned, but to think my $70k escalade uses a cheap platic screw to hold a giant door that is used so often?
