Magnetic Ride Shocks - Front

Magnetic Ride Shocks - Front
I need to replace my front shocks on my 2011 Escalade. I have MRC (Z95) and I was told by the dealership that it would cost $1800 for them to replace the front 2 shocks. Does this sound crazy? How hard is it to change these yourself? I was looking at this stuff online and since I do not have a coil compressor handy I was thinking of buying the shocks that come with the coil spring already attached. See link below.

Can anyone shed some light on how difficult this is to do and if I can do it all myself without the dealership? Other than changing the shocks is there anything else that needs to be done electronically and that's why the dealership was going to charge $1800? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Larry

Funny. I have the exact same make and model, and was told the exact same price by the dealer. I just ordered 2 front shocks part #580-435 online for 500 and will take them to a local shop and have them installed.
Ill let you know how it goes. I am praying that I got the right ones. They seem to be the same as the part # 19353951 that the dealer recommended. I also have the z95 with the 6LM and 7LM suspension.
Please let me know what happened in your case. Ill do the same

Magnetic Ride Shocks - Front
I ended up going to a local shop and had them replace them for me. Ended up costing me around $1300. They put in the correct shocks with no issues at all. It rides like brand new now. Definitely worth it but not for $1800 by the dealership!
