Door Chimes and the ECC
 

Hi Folks,
Looking for some help here. I have an 82 Eldo Biarritz. My ECC seemed to be not working (Auto, High and front defroster lights would not come on), so I found a parts car (85 Eldo) and pulled the ECC from it. My heat would stay on and pulse from low to high intermittantly as well.

I replaced the ECC, and it seemed to turn off the fan, and all the lights work, and appears to function properly. Diags seem to function correctly too. However, the door chime no longer chimes. Instead it beeps like the old buzzers used to in the old 70's cars. It beeps when doors or hood are opened, interior lights are turned on, and when I open the door to get in, it keeps beeping till I turn the ignition key. Really bizarre.

Anyway, wondering if I missed something or if maybe this ECC is bad too? Any advice?

FYI - it was the Cigarette Lighter fuse (25 amp).
