'92 Eldorado Climate Control & Trip Digital Panel Problems

Hello,

I have a '92 Eldorado Touring with the analog cluster and my climate control (led panel right of the spedo) and trip/mpg (led panel left of the spedo) come on only rarely, and for only for a seconds before blacking out. I thought it might be a short, but I would appreciate any ideas someone here might have as to the problem and/or a resolution.
