how change the engine coolant on the NorthStar
Hi Folks,
I bought a 2004 DTS (blk/blk)about a month ago with approx 60K miles on it. Reading around this post I want to change the engine coolant asap. Can someone forward me or point me in the direction to the specific proceedure to accomplish this task? I didn't have any luck in FAQ regarding the step by step process. ALSO, the heater/A/C fan will not operate- sometimes the climate control will kick on if I go over a bump or accellerate aggressively- indicating it might be a bad connection somewhere. Possibly a blower motor connector? Where can I find this connection. Thanks for any assistance and providing an invaluable source of information on all Caddys Thx Sully |

Flushing cooling system - Drain old coolant, refill with coolant, monitor level till cooling fan comes on and goes off 2 times. Re-install cap drive 2-3 miles and park. Recheck coolant level add as necessary.
Blower - check for codes, blower is under right side of dash. |

not to over-ride the master, slowroll, are we suggesting dex-cool, distilled water, or pellets/ additives for this guy? maybe none is needed due to the miles on the car..... just a suggestion.......
cescully, big welcome to the Forum..... keep us posted on your coolant change.... good luck rickyd |

gotcha... just wondering if the bottom radiator hose is the best method... and should I be forcing the remaining old coolant out by some type of water pressure, say from a garden hose?
