Head Lamps flickers

I have a issue with my head lamps. We leave our 2006 DTS lights on "Auto" but lately the lights will flicker randomly. Then some times the right passenger side light will go out. I turn my head lamp switch to "On" and it comes on.
Also might I add, my cigarette lighter is not working nor is the plug under the arm rest. Might someone help me what is wrong with that too?

I need help to figure this out.

Thanks

This is a classic signal that the headlamp is going bad and about to fail. The HID lamps as they weaker get hot and will flicker and go out. After a while you can restsart the car and it will come on, a bump will even put it out. It is a very expensive bulb in excess of $200 and takes about 2 hours to install. The entire front bumper cover must be removed so that the headlight housing can be removed. You also have to get in behind the inner wheel wheel cover to get at some bolts holding the housing in place. It is also a good idea to change the signal light and trim light once you have the housing out. A service manual is a must on this job otherwise you risk breaking mounting tabs OR you can pay the dealer $350 for the replacement but most mechanics will cut corners and break things too.
