Have had some problem with my car stalling and a little hard to restart. I have 94,000 miles and I suppose it is time for tune up and fuel filters and other items. Checked the code system and show IPM - B0429 and another one U1016. Accidentally deleted the code so I cannot get the U1016 to no the letters before it. How can I find out what the codes mean and what I need to do to fix them. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

U1016 maybe related to your concern. It is a module communication error code. Modules pass data between themselves when they don't or can't codes are set in the module expecting to receive the data. B0429 should relate to rear a/c. At 94k car is due for service, however it is unlikely to correct concern. A few questions: When does car stall?... cruising, stopping/coasting, turning, or on accel. When car is hard to restart; what happens? ....Engine slow to turn over, won't turn over, or turns over normally? Just need more info, there are several possibilities at this point.

Car has stalled on me only a few times. It has stalled when I was going to park the car in front of the house. It didn't 't have a strong restart, but it started. The other day with my mother it stalled when I was starting out from the light. I got it restarted. Didn't seem like a very strong start, but I got it started. After that the service engine soon light was on and continued to stay on until the next morning when I took it out. After that the service engine soon light has been off.My husband thinks I don't put my foot down to the gas pedal enough to blow the engine out. Perhaps I am to much of a person who keeps to the speed. I was on the freeway today and gave it a few times of stepping down on the gas pedal all the way to blow the engine out.
I feel it is probably time for fuel filter, spark plugs, wires and whatever else it might need.

Go by an auto parts to or look in FAQ to find out code - Why SES light was on. There are several possibilities. Repeatedly having to "Blow Engine Out" is a sign that sometiming is wrong. Being the engine seem to start right, have battery tested. It should not make it stall but it still may need replaced....better to be safe than sorry....unless you like meeting new friends at inopertune times.

Codes I am getting on the car are IPC U1016 History, IPM B0429 current, IRC U1016 History, PCM P0385 & RCC U1000 History. I have replaced the spark plugs, PCV valve and I will be replacing the fuel filter and perhaps crankshaft sensors. B0429 is temperature control rear circuit-not sure what to do there. P0385 is ckp sensor. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
