Window rolls down just not up

Today my drivers side frontwindow quit rolling up in my 99 deville. What is the process for getting the interior panel off without destroying it and which is it most likely to be the switch or the lift motor.

It'll probably go ahead and roll up if you keep messing with the switch. Our 88 Deville does the same thing. We just keep trying the switch and iteventually works. (2 windows and can't replace right now.) Just as a side note, a 96 Olds 98 that we were considering buying recently did the same exact thing. A GM problem maybe?

Later that night the window fell the rest of the way and will not come up. How do you secure the regulator in order to change the motor?

nawww ...

it happens to all cars after a few years, depends on how often it is used, heat to the doors, moisture,
door slamming, debri, etc., etc...

i got cars that do it every 3 to 5 years, i got one that is 19 yrs old and still going.
