What style is My Caddi?
I currently own a 1963 Cadillac something or other that is a 4 door 6 window sedan and I currently don't know whether it is a Sedan DeVille or a Fleetwood. The title says "Cad" "Fle" leading me to believe that it is a Fleetwood but I have heard from many sources that the Fleetwood model had power windows and locks and has a verticle post between the windows; none of which i have. Then i thought that it was a sedan DeVille but since the title doesn't say that plus I don't believe that the DeVille came with the power seats, which i have, and i do believe that the DeVille had the 6 seat belts where i have 2. If you have any info please let me know.

It would be nice to see a photo of your car. My research indicates that Series 62 did not have the power features you mention.

RE: What style is My Caddi?
I replied to your identical post in the Fleetwood section yesterday. There, I suggested to check the "Body Plate" (which is on the cowl right below the windshield at the driver's side).
Here's another way: Locate the V.I.N., which, back in those days, was the engine's serial number. If you still have the "Service Notice" plate, which is attached to the front face of the left door lock pillar, that might be stamped onto that plate. It is also stamped onto the top front left-hand frame side bar of the chassis. The first two digits of these numbers indictae the model year, so it should be "63" for you; The letter following indicates the body style, and tells you exactly what you have: Code:
K: Sixty-Two Sedan (6-Window) |
