What is an IPC and IPM

I have a 2004 Cadillac Deville and I am trying to figure out the difference between a IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) and an IPM (Instrument Panel Module). Is the Instrument Display where I see my miles per hour I am traveling and the coolant temp etc... the IPC? If so where is the IPM. I have a B1438 (IPC High Voltage Output Overcurrent to IPM) code that I am trying to figure out.

I would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction on my question. If you have seen this code before any hints as to possible causes would be appreciated as well.
