RE: stalling

Here are a couple things I have heard of to check in situtations similar:

Check the fuel pressure regulator. Supposedly this is something that is easily replaceable and costs about $70.

I have also heard that if the fuel pump goes out, something within the whole fuel system will allow the car to get fuel while it is running. I don't remember exactly how this works but just remember reading about it.

I would also replace the fuel filter. Maybe it is restrictive enough where fuel can't pass through it efficiently.

Hope this gives you some help

RE: stalling

This happened to me with my '99 Deville the day after I bought it. Exact same symptoms. Turns out it was the crank position sensor that was the culprit. Easy fix so check it out.

RE: stalling

are you still stalling
my 97 with 145,000 miles wanted new plugs & wires

I was told they were replaced @ 98,000 but found that to be a lie when I changed the wires
