Running a 12v constant for radio
I need to run a 12v constant power to my radio. The factory memory wire is affected by the power saving feature, and after installing the proper radio harness (gmrc-o3) the only problem i have now is the radio does not remember anything after the power saving thing kicks in after about 15 min. Does anyone know of a good place to run a wire to?
96 Deville 4.6 northstar non-bose non-amplified I hope i didnt forget to mention anything Thanks for any help |
RE: Running a 12v constant for radio
Are you just running the wire to the deck in the dash, or are you trin to runn it to the trunk for an aftermarket system?

RE: Running a 12v constant for radio
Just the deck in the dash, thanks for replying but I allready ran one through the firewall and to the battery. Everything seems to be working fine, so far.
ohh, and I put in a 4A fuse just to be one the safe side |

Usually the cigarette lighter receptacle is always with power @ 12 VDC. |
RE: Running a 12v constant for radio
that was my first thought, but the car cuts the power to it after 15 min, that power saving thing that stops you from draining your battery, anyways problems solved now
