Oil Change Question
Hello,
My Oil gauge on my 98 deville says 9% left and it reads I need a Oil Change. I changed it myself in Feburary and I still have about 1k miles left before I need to change it. When I get around to that, can I do it myself and reset the gauge, or do I have to have that done professionally? And if so, can I take that to any autoshop or do I have to have that done by a cadillac Dealership? Let me know. Thanks!

RE: Oil Change Question
All of the above.
I am more comfortable doing it myself, mostly because I know I am putting in 7-1/2 qt oil and not 7 or 8, and I don't crossthread or overtorque the drain plug and filter.
For my '97 it is easy to reset the oil life indicator (and I believe it is described in the Owner's Manual); Scroll the Info to display Oil Life and then hold the Info Reset button until it shows 100%. I'd be surprised if it was any different in '98.
