Lost keys, car overseas

Lost keys, car overseas
I have a serious issue with my 2002 cadillac deville. I lostboth keys that i had to the car, and unfortunaly the car is overseas, in a country where there is no GM dealer. I had keys cut and sent to me from the dealership where i bought the car but they do not start the engine. I was told that they needed to be programmed, and for that to happen, the car has to be in the US. Can anyone tell me if there is any other way toprogram these keys? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! thanx

RE: Lost keys, car overseas
that is a tough loss.
i'm taking a long shot at this. you have VATS?
if so, they need a properly cut key with the right pellet.
if you dont know what the pellet value is, you might have to get a full set.
these are the values for a '93 Allante. i dont know if they are the same as yours.
i am showing them as an example.

then again, you may have PASSKEY .. a different animal.
hopefully someone else will have the details but at least you know where
this is going.

RE: Lost keys, car overseas
this is what came up for passkey ....
bypass PASSKEY ?
get a wiring diagram,
it is really a simple circut, .
locate the pass-key relay,
often under the carpet,
between the drivers door and seat.
need 2 splice-clips and a length of wire,
jump relay
won't need the pellet anymore
