Braking Power

What do you recommend to improve the braking power on a 98 DeVille? I have new standard rotors and ceramic pads on the front. My 2001 Ford Windstar has far greater stopping power than this Cadillac. Thanks...gene hamilton

A better brake feelwould bewith normal organic composition pads. Ceramic get better as they get warmer.

I agree with carnut - change the pads. Unless you are into racing, ceramic is not the way to go.

Ceramic pads will not stop a car well until they get good and warm - they are not meant to stop you when they are cold. I believe the basic design is so that they will not fade in severe use.
