97 deville coolant leak *PLEASE help*

I have a 1997 Deville. I have to add coolant about every 100 miles, sometimes more. I took it to 2 mechanics and they couldn't find any leak in radiator. I never see it leaking anything, a few times I have smelt coolant after driving on it. About 6 months ago I was in a small fender bender, and I had some body work done. I don't know if the hit is the reason for all of this.
I just don't get it. ------any advise????

RE: 97 deville coolant leak

Leak may not be in the radiator. Did they do a pressure check? How 'bout water pump, hoses etc? Any water in the oil? Any white smoke from tailpipe?

RE: 97 deville coolant leak

I haven't had my pressures checked; I don't know how to look for water in the oil or check my hoses.--ONCE, white smoke/exaust came out of my tailpipes, it seemed very exsessive. That is the only major physical problem. The "Check Coolant Light" comes on all the time.
I moved to a new area recently and I am nervous to find a new mechanic because I feel like I am taken advantage of. Regardless, if you can give me any pointers-- it would be much appreciated.
