1983 Deville RWD HT4100 engine swap advice
So i bought an '83 for the style, but I'd like to put a motor with some power in. I am looking for advice on any engine that would fit other than the ht4100 (which is what is in it now). I've read of people putting Olds 350's in, but i could never find what kind of modifications were required to do the swap. Any hints?

if i was swapping in an olds motor it would be the 403.
Same block as the 307/350 but with a good bit more punch.
Either way these motors are getting harder to find. My brother has my last 403.
Spun rod bearings on every olds motor i ever owned.
I have done several late 70's early 80's BOP (buick, olds, pontiac) swaps to chevy sb.
It usually requires the motor towers, exhaust, linkage swap, rad and coolant hoses.
If you go with an early hei dist and a non electronic carb it simplifies the job greatly.
It's usually not a bad job if you have a complete donor car to pull parts from.
Hope this helps and good luck.
