2001 DTS Stinky problem/engine light

Hi All,
Have a problem with the 2001 DEville DTS. At no warning, the car, in a fast food restuarant, began hestitation while standing still and immediately the engine light came on. When in motion, it goes with small jerks but DOESN"T stall. The car literally shakes back and forth. BAD GAS??? Just put 1/2 a tank in day before and drove home with no problem. 20 miles later this happens. Fuel filter?? sensor?? The smell of sulfer is evident. Any one have any clues??Thanks, Kim

Read the FAQ section on how to display fault codes then report back with codes that are current. Sulfur smell usually means car running too rich. Like a stuck open injector or engine not in closed loop. Access FAQ in the main forum.

I'm going to go search some info on these codes, BUT, if you can tell me any sooner, that would be greatly appreciated!!
