Default 1992 Deville Radio stop working?

I have a 1992 Deville and the radio (has cassette player) went out. At first it was the sound...within a few hours the radio no longer turns on. It still displays the clock.. pushing the power and just the antenna goes up.
Can I replace the unit with one from another Deville or maybe aftermarket?
I'm not sure if the security ties into it.
It did sound nice and recently bought the car. I bought a Autozone Haynes Manuel and it said nothing of the security system.
any info is greatly appropriated.
Mike

I don't think it is a hi end radio...no Bose emblem was found. It does have a equalizer above the radio...if that helps out any. It all appears to be stock.
I haven't checked the fuses but....still I feel it no longer works...as I stated earlier the sound went out first....unless I am missing something. The wife currently has it at work.
this is the only picture I can find.

and a larger pic..here is the link. http://www.texas4x4.org/gallery/albu...IMG2370?full=1

Check fuses first. Most likely a blown fuse. Check under dash for a blown yellow 20 amp 'body" or "csty" fuse. Usually blows because a cell phone charger is used in the dash cigarette lighter socket or a piece of metal is in a lighter socket front or back. If its a Bose, no equalizer and the speakers will have BOSE emblems on them.

Check for blown fuses 1st, radio has 2 power sources both in fuse block under drivers side of dash. You can go after market with radio, I would suggest to get plug kit so factory harness is intact. There is a hidden screw to bracket on back of radio. You will need to remove ashtray assembly to access screw.

Thanks. so in this case if fuses check out ok. All I need is a harness that goes with the aftermarket radio. The security won't effect it?

No security system for radio, except radios with Theft Lock on radio face plate. THEFT LOCK locks radio only.
