RE: 1989 cadillac sedan deville

those are typical symtoms of LOW VOLTAGE,

it can be the battery, the charging sysytem, a bad GROUND connection or
simply oxidized battery terminals

BEFORE you spend money on parts, take a voltmeter and start checking.
one usually expects 13.6v to 14.8v .. maybe someone will jump in
and give you more accurate voltage expectations

KEEPS US posted .. so others learn !

As far as mods go, it depends on how much you want to spemd. Start out by checking with 2 of our sponsers

K & N and magnaflow.

check for bad ground in the cigar lighter the radio and lots of other interier lights and ect. run off it
current should be around 14.4 if everything is ok corrision on battery terminals is another good spot to check
