04 Deville Bose RDS System
 

I have two questions regarding the DeVille Bose Radio:

1) Was there a change in RDS systems between 2004 and newer radios? On my radio, on a very few stations i have had to hit the "MSG" button to see the artist/song information. In most cases, I only get the Station Call Signs instead of the artist/song information.[:@] I recently rented a 2007 DTS with a Bose System and I noticed that his information[Station name, artist and song]automatically scrolled across the screen without having to hit the "MSG" button! Also, on my Drive across Alabama, I encountered a few radio stations in Alabama where my 04 Bose radio automatically scrolled the information without me having to hit anything. So how do you configure this if possible to always be the case? Secondly, the manual says you can turn "RDS" information on and off. However the dealership nor I can figure out how to do this? Any suggestions? [>:]

2) In what year did the Bose radios start supporting "MP3" playback?

Ask dealer to print copy of Do***ent ID# 793429 for you this will help you with rds. mp3 compatibility varies by model, suvs got it first.
