New Cadillac CTS owner

Just got a 2007 CTS black on black. Love the ride & power of the 3.6L engine.
I've noticed that the car gets very dirty when driving on wet roads. Was wondering if anybody had any experience with installing some splash/mud guards to help minimize this problem. Any suggestions as to what to get or not get is much appreciated.

Thanks...Mike

Welcome to the Forum, and congrats on the triple black!!! The nicest color going down the road, but tuff to keep clean, (shows all). Splash guards would help, and so would keeping a polish on it so splashes air off easy. Personally, IMO splash guards look like s_ _ _ on cars. I've sold hundreds of them, but dont like the way they change the appearance of the car. Be careful when install, position is everything. Out enough, up enough, low enough......???? Have someone assist you so to eye up where you want them.... good luck. I'd keep them off though.

Thanks RickyD.
I'm not entirely sold on using the splash guards...but going to give them a try. The water spray from the road was much worse than I ever expected. With the summer rains we experience in South Florida around the corner I could be washing the car every night. That is not something I want to be doing.

I have a 2004 CTS 3.6.
It's white though, but still has the same problem.
They get very very dirty, and fast. And it seems sometimes, a lot of it builds up on the trunk. Mud guards may help, no guarentees.
Congrats on the black on black :)
Try it in sport mode sometime. You'll like it ;)
