MOBIL 1

Just wondering how many of you will stay with the recommendation of using Mobil 1 or going to another oil?

RE: MOBIL 1

I just picked up a real low mileage (9728)2007 STS with the 4.7 VVT V8 Saturday. I got a case of Royal Purple 5w30 left over from my last Ford disaster. Never again will I buy a Ford.

The bottles of Royal Purplesay it's is at the recommend spec GM4718M quality which is suggested in the STS owner’s manual. The next change will be at 14,800 or when ever the DIC indicates to change it so I'm going to do eight quarts of Royal Purple with a PF-61 filter. I haven'tlooked for the oil filter yet. Where is it?

I've used Royal Purple in the past in my old truck and now my Deville. I'm switching to Mobil 1 Extended Performance because Royal Purple is just too expensive, Especially when I have to buy 8 quarts now. I used to get Royal Purple for around $6,50 delivered but know I can't seem to find it for under $7.50 plus shipping. Even Walmrt wants $8.79 a quart not. I've read a lot about Mobil 1 and it seems to be real good. I actually picked it up the other day for $28.50 for a 5qt jug and $6.95 each for (3) 1qt. bottles. Plus $12 for the Mobil 1 Ext. performance filter. I'll have to see for myself how my car likes it. Royal Purple is definitely good oil.

Got a must with no fuss.I get mines changed at the Cadillac dealer for $79.00, mobil one. In at 7:30 out by 8 am. It's the only way to go.

I'm sticking with the Mobil 1. I just changed my wife's 09 CTS myself. It was the first oil change for her car. The dealer had a sticker on the windshield to change it at 5,000 miles. I did it at 4700 miles and will use the oil life monitor from now on. Doing it myself cost 49$. I'll use the $30 savings towards mys 07 STS. Both cars are a breeze to change even for an old 61 year old codger like me.
