Front Bumper-license plate

I am removing my front license plate cause i'm not living in TX anymore. Any ideas on what to do about the 4 big holes in the front bumper were the bracket was mounted...some type of plugs, emblem or something other than buying a new bumper. Anything...suggestions...pictures

thanks-a-bunch

cloudufbass.... ask your local carsalesman friend for some rust-proof plugs....they might work, and you can color coat them....good luck

Hey Cloud: A number of cars, mostly older models had round headed and chromed bolts that held the bumper to the brackets, maybe you could score some of these at the wreckers. Short of that you could take four carriage bolts to the chromers and have them done. They would only have to be 3/4" long, just enough to get the nut on the back.

Other states require that front license plate - in case you have not already checked with the laws of where you are moving to, it might be prudent to check before you remove that holder... you may need it anyway.

Hey cloudofbass
I had the same problem with a 99 Park Avenue. I went to the local auto parts store and bought a pack of black retainers that they use to attach different palstic parts of the car. Like those underneath the front bumper area or fender wells. I sprayed them with matching paint and inserted them into the holes. The plugs are ribbed so they stay in place.
Try to get an assortment witha cap surface as thin as possible. That way they are almost invisible.
