Flashing Check Engine Light

Does anyone here have the experience of ever having a flashing "Check Engine" light on their Cadillac CTS or other model?

If so, what parts were faulty, or are there certain parts that go faulty with a flashing light? Your help in this matter would greatly be appreciated.

Flashing ses indicates misfire or condition that can cause cat converter to fail. Codes will be set indicating where to look or car should go to repair shop if DIY is not your thing.

i have a 03 cts and my light was flashing. I had 3 major problems. 1) i had a misfire 2) needed a valve job (valve was burnt) ran me up 2800 and 3) failing ecm. could be any of these three but i would get it fixed before anything else damages. keep me updated. this happened to me recently. i have all the codes also.
