Electronic Brake Control Fuse is Blowing

I have a 2003 CTS and the 10 amp EBC fuse under the left rear seat has recently blown. I have tried to research the issue, but I haven't found any help regarding blown fuses. Other than replacing the EBC module, does anyone have any ideas. I did read the EBC codes and they are C1248 and C1214. I also got codes P 0856 and 0318 as well as U1040 from the ECM. My guess at this time is that the EBC module has taken a dump. My wife says the power steering has gotten stiff at low speed too and I think I saw something about getting a signal from the EBC module. Looking for thoughts..... THANKS!

You need either a FSM disc or subscription to factory based service information. How often does fuse blow?

Hi Slowroll... I have the FSM disc and it really doesn't offer much in the way of trouble shooting this particular issue on the fuse. I've looked at the schematic for a clue too. The issue began about a week ago and I tried to clear it up by clearing the codes, but they just reset each time. I had to wait till the weekend to trouble shoot anything and that's when I found the blown fuse. I replaced the fuse and they blow as soon as you turn the key on. The modules for the 2003 seem to be nearly nonexistent except from salvage yards, so I was looking for ideas before I start going that route.

If the fuse only powers up module unplug module and see if it blows. Good bad depending how you look at it. Since fuse blows immediately if unplug components or manipulate wiring and the short goes away you will know were to look.
